Alguns dias depois de lançar o carro-chefe do seu sexto álbum de estúdio, a cantora Avril Lavigne retorna a fazer a divulgação do single Gravity. Depois de ter feito uma participação pra lá de especial no famoso talk show do apresentador James Corden, agora é a vez da loira retornar aos palcos da versão americana do talent show The Voice.
PERFORMANCE
Apresentador: E voltando ao nosso palco, temos um dos ícones da geração passada e que está voltando com tudo para a indústria após dois anos. E para apresentar o seu single Gravity recebam, Avril Lavigne!
Após o anúncio do apresentador todas as luzes do palco foram apagadas. Não se ouvia nada no estúdio. A câmera focou no rosto dos jurados e da plateia, que esperavam ansiosos a performance da canadense. Aos poucos as luzes, com um tom azulado, iluminaram a plataforma e revelaram a cantora e toda sua banda no palco. Avril vestia uma jaqueta branca, camiseta preta e saia da mesma cor. Seus cabelos estavam soltos e com leves ondulações nas pontas.
Avril começou a cantar sem o acompanhamento de nenhum instrumento. Exibiu sua voz na forma mais pura e foi aplaudida pelo público. Logo em seguida, a banda a acompanhou no restante da faixa. O telão mesclava cenas do clipe da faixa e também da letra. Por mais que a música seja recente, a plateia parecia conhecer muito bem e canta junto à Ramona.
No meio da apresentação, a cantora se retirou de onde estava e começou a rodear todo o palco. Se agachou e cumprimentou alguns dos seus fãs. Acabou também por interagir com os jurados ali presentes. As luzes agora alternavam entre as cores azul e verde e abrangiam todo o palco. Lavigne voltou ao seu posto inicial depois de ter interagido também com um de seus músicos.
O gran finale veio e a plateia demonstrou todo o amor pela cantora com palmas e gritos. Avril estava visivelmente emocionada ao fim da apresentação e agradeceu o carinho que lhe foi dado. Após responder algumas perguntas do apresentador e falar com os jurados, despediu-se com uma breve reverência antes do programa ir para o intervalo comercial.
